IPL betting,: 7 Persons held, 4 Lakh money seized

Hyderabad: Jogulamba Gadwal police busted a gang involved in online betting of IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday night, in Ieeja mandal. Seven persons were arrested. However, seven more were absconding.Shanthi Nagar CI Guru Naidu and Rajoli SI Ram Murthy, on the directions of District SP KP Lakshmi Naik, raided a cricket betting location at Bharath Nagar. During the raid, three persons were arrested. The police later arrested four more persons in Gadwal.
The police seized Rs 4,38,000 from the accused along with 11 cell phones and an Innova car. The seven accused were produced before the magistrate on Thursday and sent to judicial remand.Vadla Raghavendra Achary, the main accused, is a resident of Bharath Nagar.
