The residential welfare schools in the State have performed exceptionally well in the SSC Public Examinations this year. Among all the managements, the BC Welfare Schools under MJP Telangana BC Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society secured highest percentage of passes of 98.78 per cent. A total of 980 students appeared for the exams of which 968 have passed, while 13 students scored 10 on 10 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
The BC Welfare schools were followed by Telangana Residential Educational Institutions Society schools where 98.54 per cent have passed out of 2,734 students who appeared for the examinations. Similarly, students of Model Schools have recorded 98.45 pass percent.Students of Social and Tribal Welfare Residential Schools too have come out in flying colours. A total of 10,026 students appeared for the exams from the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and 9,680 cleared them. The Society secured an average pass percentage of 96.63 as against the State average of 92.43.
Similarly, 2,604 students of the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS) have passed the exams out of 2,727 who appeared. Average pass percentage of TSWRE Institutions was 95.49 as against the State average of 92.43.
Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, TSWREI and TTWREI Societies congratulated the students for their performance. “Behind every success of a student there is a great teacher, he said and thanked all teachers for their hard work and dedication in transforming the lives of students who are economically backward.While private schools got 93.65 pass per cent, Minorities residential schools secured pass percentage of 90.92 and government schools were at the bottom of the table with 84.38 per cent passes.
